10. Hanif Rangrej of Nilam Furniture Caught Red Handed In
Ankleshwar While Carrying Anti-Hindu Pamphlets For Distribution,
Gujarat Mitra, 20

Hanif Rangrej considered to be a partner in Nilam Furniture
has been arrested as he was carrying anti-Hindu pamphlets for
distribution with the intention of vitiating communal peace in
Ankleshwar.
Police Followed the Car With “Press” Label And Caught Hanif
With Inflammatory Pamphlets
Mr. R. D. Patel Police Inspector of City Police was
informed that a maroon coloured Toyota Qualis Car No. GJ-16-K-5592
carrying anti-Hindu pamphlets was going towards Kasbatiwad resided
mostly by the minority community. Mr. Patel immediately informed Mr.
Shastri Head of Police about the above development. Without further loss
of time G.I.D.C. Police Inspector Bhandari, CBI and other police staff
rushed to Kasbativad. The driver of Qualis saw the police car on
Kasbativad - Goyabazar road and he drove back the car towards Goyabazar.
The police gheraoed and stopped the car near Visa Falia. Then the driver
Mohammad Hanif Iqbal Mohammad Rangrej Age 35 and two women were made to
get down from the car. These two women were freed immediately since they
had taken a lift from Hanif for going to Piraman naka as per their
statement. When the Toyota Qualis was searched it carried 51
computerised copies of inflammatory anti-Hindu pamphlets, 1000 Rs. and
500 Rs. notes amounting to total of Rs. 47,500/- and Mobile phone of
Panasonic make. The police took custody of these.
Hanif Rangrej told that he has thrown 20 to 25 pamphlets on
the road going from Goyabazar to Suratibhagol. The police has started
inquiries about other contacts obtained from Mobile Phone Nos. given by
Hanif. The police has also started inquiry about the computer used for
making the said pamphlets. There were three cars and five motor cycles
with, “Press” label whereas Hanif failed to produce ‘Press’ card which
shows that Hanif does not belong to any press.
As informed by Police Head Mr. Shastri Hanif Rangrej used
to make ordinary steel cupboards 10 years back. But he owns today
considerable property and furniture stock amounting to more than Rs. 1
crore. From where such large amount has come is now a subject of
vigilance and Income Tax Depts.
Under guidance of Mr. Mohansinh Bhambhor In-charge District
Police and Mr. Shastri In-charge Police Dept., Mr. Patel Police
Inspector has registered a crime under IPC 153 K and has obtained a
remand of one day. |
