6. Live Electric Supply Used to Kill Small Girls at Prantij,
Sandesh, 27
March 2002
The echoes of Godhra Carnage were still not over,
and another conspiracy to kill large number of people by joining live
electric-wires with the wire-fencing of a Pathshala near Prantij
Bhakhariya, has been detected. Police is now searching for the culprits
on the complaint from Gujarat Electricity Board.
Sarvodaya Girls School is situated near Prantij Bhakhariya Bus-stand on
a road leading to Ambica cinema. There are two roads to go to the
school. One common road comes through the main road and ot her comes
from Bhakhariya through Bambavas. Examinations of standard 10th
& 12th were conducted in this school, but due to riots on
Sunday, curfew was imposed. This road leading to Bazaar through school
was not used by people. There was very little traffic hence the same
blood thirsty culprits connected the steel angles of school compound
with the wire fencing and also created a fencing of 15 to 20 feet in the
middle of the road. Then they connected this wire fencing with live
electric current from a nearby house. The conspiracy was that anybody
touching the wire, would be electrocuted. But as luck would have it, on
that day exams were cancelled due to curfew and no children and teachers
came to the school, but some animals and goats trying to pass through
it, got electrocuted. Their sad crying attracted attention of nearby
people when this whole conspiracy came to light. Police immediately
informed GEB officers who came and cut the wire to stop the electric
supply. The DSP Shri Nitirajsinh Solanki and the inspector Shri D. K.
Vankar are, now searching for the culprits, on the complaint of GEB. |
