This was obtained by the CBI Gandhinagar and the anti-terrorist squad of Ahmedabad.

4 kg 200 gms. of RDX was recovered from three residents of Surat who had connections with a terrorist outfit of Pakistan viz. Harkate-ul-Jehadi Islami. They were apprehended at Dabhol in Navsari Dist. of South Gujarat. In this connection, Inamul Huq, Fazalu Huq, Banarasi, Husain Ahmed Mohammad Ali Maniyar and Asad Ahmed Munshi were arrested. This catch did not include only RDX but also had large quantities of other explosive materials, fire arms with ammunition and narcotics.

While disclosing this, the state minister of Home further told that during the year 2002, 102 rounds of 30 bore pistol, 8 timer pencils, 2 wireless hand sets, 7 remote switch boxes and such other material was confiscated. Whereas in Kutch, in the year 2001, 2 AK 56 rifles, 296 live rounds, 2 magzenes, 10 batteries, 10 hand grenades, 4 remote controls, 10 Electronic Detonators with red wires were recovered.
