Prafullaben is repenting of having missed Karseva.
Mansukhrambhai Soni and his young son of
Amaraiwadi were few of those 60 Karsevkes who became martyr in the masacre
killing at Godhra. They were all returning to Ahmedabad from Ayodhya in
that illfated Sabarmati Express. He was burnt to ashes alongwith his son
in the fire flames of the burning train. The members now left in the
family are wife, daughter in law, grand daughter and a deserted daughter
with her small child. There were no words of consolation for them, but it
is worth noting that his wife Prafullaben was really very courageous. She
says : "none can fill up the vacuum of the departed ones. It is an
irreparable loss. But I must say safeguarding the Hindu religion is our
prime duty. My husband and son have scarificed in the service of the
almighty. I am repenting that I could not join the Karseva otherwise I
would also have had an opportunity of sacrifice. I was blessed with the
only son. Had I had another one, I would have sent him too for Karseva. My
husband and young son have made our family name shining for ever."
Mansukhrambhai Soni, the backbone of the family
and the young son are no more now. There is no earning hand in the family.
She has to look after all alone now the young daughter-in-law and a
deserted daughter with her child of 8/9 months. The economic as well as
social problems have crept up all of a sudden. There is no male member in
the family. It is obvious as to how the problems of family maintenance and
all other liabilities would be tackled, under such circumstances. But
Prafullaben undeberred with her deep faith in the God.’’ He only will
overcome all these. He was the driving force so far and the only would
take care hence forth.
The tears in the eyes of the deserted daughter
made the whole atmosphere unbearable. The question is "How to console
these people? No words to pen.
