"The
condition of the dead bodies was so horrible that they could not be even lifted"- Zaverbhai's son
Backbone of a joint family Zaverbhai sacrified in the brutal Act.
Zarevbhai Prajapati, a karsevak with his three
friends was coming back from Ayodhya after Karseva. They all were also the
victims in the brutal killing at Godhra. It could be gathered that
Zaverbhai was determined for karseva at Ayodhya and he also motivated his
three friends for this noble task. All the four friends joined Karseva
batch of 22nd.
Zaverbhai was shouldering the total
responsibility of the family after the demise of his elder brother. Being
a heart patient he was also persuaded for not joining the Karseva. But he
was firm in carrying out karseva. He is went to Ayodhya. He was the
backbone in the entire joint family. His sudden passing away has created a
havoc in the family. Young married sons are engrossed in the grief. They
are worried of the vacuum created out of the beloved father’s departure.
The old mother of Zaverbhai has lost her two sons within a short span of
one year. What must be the feeling of the poor mother!
The son of Zaverbhai says : The families of all other
martyr karsevaks are also sailing in the same boat. There is an identical
sad story in the houses of all those 60 departed souls. He was in Vadodara
at the time of Godhra massacre. When they reached Godhra, there was not
even a single dead body, which could be identitified. We could identify
the dead body of our beloved father only with the help of driving licence
traced from the pocket of my father. The condition of the dead bodies was
so that they could not be even lifted. If one attempts to catch hand or a
leg of the dead body, it was being separated. Therefore all the deadbodies
were tied in a bag. Such a heinous act can be done.
