On realizing the urgency for awakening the nation as a whole keeping
in mind the promotion of nationality, the grand idea of setting up a
media center was conceived. Besides, it was also considered to be an
equally important responsibility of such media centre to assist all
those institutions/organizations who cannot afford to have their own
media centre.
Certainly, the people of Bharat are taking a great in
its rich heritage of unenviable and long tradition of sacrifice for
the nation. But unfortunately, there are quite many media keeping
themselves away from such facts that are strengthening nationality.
It was also noticed that in a number of instances, such media were
found engaged in misleading the nation with prejudiced and
mutilated, half hearted information.
Conception :
In today’s context of making available such material
as well as reference material that are befitting the national
thoughts to various media, Vishwa Samvad Kendra was conceived. From
April 1992, the present Vishwa Samvad Kendra has been functioning.
It was registered as a public organization under the Trust Act. With
registration number E8960 dated 18-6-1992.
Objectives :

Manifestation of thoughts which are deeply concerned with
nationality.
· Strengthening
national spirit through awakening the people.
· Presenting
courageously the facts/events/incidences without any sort of
prejudice.
· To
assist all those institutions/organizations which have identical
objectives.
· To
give countrywide publicity to all incidences and events of national
importance.
·
To translate all
such literature published in regional languages that merit the
strengthening of nationality, and arrange for its publication
nationwide.
· To
publish books, booklets, that deal with nationality.
For
serving the aforesaid objectives, media centers under the caption
Vishwa Samvad Kendra are at work at the following place :
East : Bhuvaneshwar, Kolkatta, Guwahatti,
Cuttack
West : Karnavati (Ahmedabad), Mumbai, Pune
Central : Jaipur, Bhopal, Chhatisgarh, Udaipur,
Nagpur
North : Delhi, Lucknow, Ayodhya, Meerut,
Patna, Chandigadh, Vraj, Kashi

Activities of Vishwa Samvad Kendra Gujarat (VSKG)
Circulation of News :
Facts
based circulation of important news occurring in Gujarat as well as
in other states, in the name of VSKG. The number of print medias
acknowledging VSKG as a news agency is gradually increasing.
Assistance to Institutions Organisations :
VSKG provides all sorts of assistance in the area of publicity
to various
institutions/organizations for publishing their programs/activities.
Further, VSKG also arranges press conferences on their behalf for
their dignitaries.
Reference Material :
VSKG
receives all important dailies Gujarati, Hindi, Marathi, English –
representing almost all States of the country, numerous periodicals
etc. Important articles from them are selectively collected,
classified under some 250 topics and are appropriately filed.
Several columnists, authors have been using the reference files for
preparing their write up. VSKG has also acquired encyclopedias and
several books rich in contents and knowledge.
Publication :
VSKG
publishes books, booklets dealing with nationality, current problems
etc. For example, “Dangs and After” (English), “Gandhiji and Christi
Panth” (Gujarati), “Pur Pidito Ni Sahayama RSS” (Gujarati).
Surveys :
Bharat is
one of the largest countries where democracy has taken deep roots.
At the time of general elections, various agencies engage themselves
in carrying out surveys to predict the trends. VSKG also joins in
such an important activity and undertakes sample surveys.
Bio-data :
It is
rather a unique activity of VSKG. Dignitaries visiting VSKG’s office
are requested to enter their personal details in their own hand in a
standard form specially designed for this purpose.

Feature Services :
Currently, VSKG regularly publishes the following two bulletions.
(1) Sankalan Shreni in Gujarati
(2) Gujarat
Patrika in Hindi
The Former is circulated to dailies, periodicals and several others
of Gujarat State, whereas the latter is mailed to all other Vishwa
Samvad Kendra and others.
Computerisation :
Through internet facilities, VSKG
remains constantly in touch with various overseas centres. Through
E-mail services, VSKG communicates news and photographs abroad and
simultaneously collect news from them.
Future Planning :
· Since the
principal activity of VSKG is concerned with collection and
communication of
news, it is proposed to liaise with publishers, and reporters of
Districts and Talukas of the Gujarat State.
· To
provide necessary references useful to reporters, journalists, etc.,
· To
promote library activity,
· To
increase the number of periodicals,
· To
publish books, booklets, whose focus is on nationality,
· To
have a press room for holding press conferences,
· Feature
services.
VSKG is engaged in an important activity of giving due publicity on
a wider scale to incidences, events, information, news of whose
focal point is nationality. In view of its activities supportive of
nationality, donors enjoy the ACT, Well wishers are requested to
